A customer approached SHOMEA with a metal component for a new equipment project. Standard off-the-shelf parts could not meet the required dimensions and structural details, so a custom manufacturing solution was needed.

The component required precise dimensions, specific machining features, and a surface finish suitable for its intended application. Even small deviations could affect the fit between the component and other parts during assembly.

From Drawing to Precision Component

After reviewing the drawing, we evaluate the material, dimensions, tolerances, machining features, and surface treatment requirements. Based on the component’s design, suitable processes may include Swiss-type turning, CNC machining, threading, knurling, precision cutting, and polishing.

Dimensional inspection is also an important part of the process, helping verify that the manufactured component meets the specified requirements.

By selecting the appropriate processes for each design, we aim to achieve consistent quality and reliable component fit.
